Perhaps many of you are still confused about the atolls and islands of the Maldives, in fact me too. So I did some research online: There are 26 atolls and around 1,190 islands in total in Maldives. Atolls of the Maldives:

The Thoddoo island that we recommended previously, on which my local business partner owns guest houses on, is an inhabited island that belongs to North Ari Atoll (Alif Alif Atoll).
